Overcome

Written by Bara Swain
Directed by Patti Allis Mengers

With Jerzy Jung, Nancy Dydak, Mike Cohen

What would you say to your departed loved ones if you could see them again? A young woman faces just such a conversation —maybe for better, maybe for worse..

This play was so lovely and heartfelt. Yes, and the humor added a light touch to an otherwise heavy subject. I also loved the sepia tone for the parents who were dead in contrast to the full color of Judy. Such a wonderful evening!

The acting (by Jerzy Jung, Nancy Dydak, and Mike Cohen) moved me to tears. Thanks also to playwright Bara Swain and director Patti Allis Mengers for that!

The song Jerzy Jung wrote and performed added to the emotional depth of the play.

Like Mom Used to Say

Written by F.J. Hartland
Directed by Morris Schorr

With Adam Fox, Kevin Shivcharran

Two men meet unexpectedly. One holds a terrible secret. Will the other be able to get him to admit the truth?

F.J. Hartland’s play built slowly and packed a punch! Adam Fox and Kevin Shivcharran played brothers who showed their love for each other – if only it hadn’t been too late!
— M.W.
This was a tender play, well directed and acted. It’s still resonating days later.

The focus on loss makes an intriguing, if heavy, subject. It left me, not sad, but moved.
